Edward Payson Jones of Winsted, Connecticut, was born in Barkhamsted and attended local schools and the Williston Academy in East Hampton, Mass. He was chariman of the Conferece of Examining Boards of Embalmers of the United States and was also the first secretary of the State Board of Examiners of Embalmers.
